Cucina Italian Kiosk,
Crown entertainment complex Melbourne.
VMC has just recently completed this project in Melbourne's leading entertainment complex, Crown Casino Melbourne.
The brief for the 36 square metre take away food kiosk in the main food hall was to make sure that the kiosk had personality and theatre, they were looking for each tenant to create an individual look, they didn't want your typical shopping mall style kiosk, which tend to be cold and sterile.
Our client's menu is Pizza, Focaccia's and Pasta.
We chose to design a fifties style Italian feel, using bricks, louver windows, old cabinetry and fifties style prints, we filled the cupboards with jars of pickles, olives, chillies and old cooking utensils.
The kiosk opened successfully and the client is extremely happy, and achieving fantastic sales.

Nissarana Art Gallery
Noosa, Queenslasnd.
An art gallery VMC was commissioned to design in Noosa Queensland... The gallery features high quality photographs of the Australian outback. The brief to us from the client was that he wanted an Australian feel, but to keep it simple and clean, so that the photographs would stand out. We used colours of the outback, Midnight Blues, Ochre and with solid marble flooring, trimmed with Australian oak timber... We darkened the ceiling to create a night sky, left all the walls white, with the odd coloured feature wall. The Marble flooring was worth over $40,000.00 we carefully chose lighting that would create mood and highlight the photos. The whole fit-out was completed in 18 days.
