An art gallery VMC was commissioned to design in Noosa Queensland...
The gallery features high quality photographs of the Australian outback. The brief to us from the client was that he wanted an Australian feel, but to keep it simple and clean, so that the photographs would stand out. We used colours of the outback, Midnight Blues, Ochre and with solid marble flooring, trimmed with Australian oak timber... We darkened the ceiling to create a night sky, left all the walls white, with the odd coloured feature wall. The Marble flooring was worth over $40,000.00 we carefully chose lighting that would create mood and highlight the photos. The whole fit-out was completed in 18 days.
